Cummins K30 ORD Parts List
We are often asked "What parts should I use to build my truck?"
What better way to answer this question than to show a parts list on our personal rigs!
This is the run down for our shop truck named "Cummins K30"
It is a 1984 M1008, 3" Lift, 37" tires, 4.10 gears, Cummins 12 valve, Getrag 360 , NP205, GM Dana 60 front with ARB locker front, 14 Bolt Full Float with ARB locker rear.
From $109.33
To $5,378.63
The Cummins K30 gets used as Tow rig, camp truck, and daily driver. It really is the "Do it all Truck"!
The truck is running on some 37" tires. Cutting off the "Fang" under the core support and trimming back the rear part of the front fender allowed enough room. The nice thing about link suspension is there is a well defined path that the axle will be traveling in so crazy trimming is usually not needed.
For suspension the K30 is running our coilover kit front and rear. This allows it to get all the traction for pulling trailers, precise steering, increased durability and unbeatable ride. Along with the coilovers the rear is using a set of firestone air bags for towing capacity. To ensure suspension travel is not limited the truck is running a set of Daystar Air Bag Cradles.
For steering the Cummins K30 is using a new PSC steering gear box, crossover steering, and a HD tie rod. so it is ready for anything that comes its way.
Running Selectable ARB air lockers front and rear gives great on road characteristics. If a trail gets rough with a flip of a switch each axle can become fully locked.
